This is just a taste of what’s to come for RUACH. Have thoughts, ideas, or feedback on either special events or our regular classes? We want to know!

Howdy folks! Dream here to give you a sneak peek behind the curtain at RUACH. It’s been a whirlwind six months since joining the team, and (as our name would suggest), the breezes continue to blow strong.

First and foremost, we are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of an updated logo and branding, the culmination of many weeks of work with incredibly talented people. This is a special moment in RUACH’s growth as we continue to make our presence known to the greater Boston area, and we are so excited to share it with you when the time is right.

Next up, special events. We are continuously blessed to be on a collaborative campus with many amazing partners. We have been generously invited into the community at Dorshei Tzedek to share Yaakov’s new Breath Lab class on May 4th - may the force be with you! There is also a new partnership class with Hebrew College’s TAMID Adult Learning program, “Introduction to Embodied Kabbalah,” led by Yaakov. Check it out to learn more about the philosophies and teachings that inform our work.

Rabbi Jaymee Alpert, founder of Neshama: Body & Soul, joined us in the studio on Thursday March 27 to host her Jewish strength and conditioning program. It was a wonderful event, and great to be able to share our beautiful studio with new friends. No worries if you missed out - we have two other spring events that you still have time to sign up for!

Our Artist in Residence, Hadar Ahuvia, will be presenting the piece Nefesh (נפש), a performance project emerging from Hadar's exploration of Ashkenazi singing, rabbinic prayer, embodied spiritual practice and diasporic politics. Featuring special guest Stav Marin, a choreographer, dancer, and performer from Jaffa, Israel, and lecturer in Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at Tufts University. Join us Tuesday, May 6, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

Adah Hetko will be hosting a Yiddish Dance Workshop Sunday, June 1st from 2:00 to 3:30pm. Experience the joy of fun simple dances accompanied by live music. All are welcome, no experience needed. This event will be limited to 20 participants, so make sure to register early!

This is just a taste of what’s to come for RUACH. Have thoughts, ideas, or feedback on either special events or our regular classes? We want to know! Please feel free to make suggestions in our physical suggestion box right outside the studio door, or in our virtual suggestion box… ie, my email, dreamm@ruachhealth.org.

Thanks for your time, and stay tuned for more “Director’s Cuts”!
